This insulation builds on the benefits of Blown-In Woodfiber Insulation, increasing thermal capacity and adding moisture management for use as an exterior insulation. The combination of high density, high thermal capacity and reasonable R value makes this the ideal exterior insulation in the face of increasingly extreme summer heat and any climate with large day to night temperature swings.

This product category has a lot of variability across brands. Be sure to get one that uses a dry press method and has the right balance of density and binder materials. Our current favorites are from Gutex and TimberHP.
